Eagles Of Death Metal made an emotional return to Paris last night, taking to the stage of the Olympia to perform their first headlining show in the French capital since the tragic shootings three months ago, when 89 of their fans were killed in a terrorist attack at Le Bataclan. Describing the show as a continuation of the November concert, the band included 89 seconds of silence in their opening song ‘I Only Want You’, in memory of the attack’s victims.

Bataclan survivors were invited to the show, many making up the packed audience that gave EODM a heroes’ welcome at the start of the concert. A visibly moved Jesse Hughes blew kisses back into the crowd, mouthing “I love you” before the group charged into their opening song.
