Vintage Trouble Team With Don Was & Blue Note
Vintage Trouble, the blues-rock band from Los Angeles, will release ‘1 Hopeful Road,’ their first album for Blue Note, worldwide on August 14. It’s produced by label president Don Was.
The band will mark its unveiling with a show at the Fonda Theatre in LA on August 12, then they’ll be the opening act on the North American leg of AC/DC’s ‘Rock Or Bust’ World Tour, starting at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on August 22.
Vintage Trouble made their studio album debut with ‘The Bomb Shelter Sessions’ and have built a strong reputation as a powerful unit both in the studio and on stage. From the new album, the track ‘Doin’ What You Were Doin’’ is available on Spotify now (see below); also included are the deep soul ballad ‘Another Man’s Words’ and ‘Angel City, California,’ an ode to their Los Angeles home.
The band are touring Europe with AC/DC this summer and are performing at numerous festivals. They were on the bill with The Who, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr and others at Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park in London yesterday (Friday) and they’re at Glastonbury Festival today, with a show at 18:30 local time on the West Holts stage.
