Directed by percussionist Shawn Crahan, Slipknot’s ‘Day Of The Gusano’ documents the metal legends’ first-ever visit to Mexico City in 2015.
Listen to a world exclusive review of Slipknot’s upcoming concert movie, Day Of The Gusano, here on uDiscover courtesy of our friends at That’s Not Metal.
Directed by Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Slipknot’s Day Of The Gusano documents the Iowa metal legends’ first-ever visit to Mexico City, in December 2015. Capturing a show that was part of a very special Knotfest Mexico, Day Of The Gusano features exclusive interviews with Slipknot’s members talking about the importance of their fanbase and the band’s long-awaited first-ever show in Mexico City, as well as intense, brutal live concert footage from the show itself.
Knotfest launched in 2012, but it wasn’t until 2015 that Slipknot took it to Mexico, with a bill that included Megadeth, Cradle Of Filth and Lamb Of God. Knotfest has returned to Mexico every year since, with this year’s line-up seeing A Perfect Circle, Korn and Anthrax on the bill for 28 October.
In advance of its 20 October DVD release, Slipknot’s Day Of The Gusano received a special one-day cinema screening at cinemas around the world, including the UK, Europe, North America, Canada, Japan, Russia, Australia and, of course, Mexico, where the documentary was filmed. Beez from the That’s Not Metal podcast, powered by uDiscover, was on hand to get a preview of the entire movie for you, and you can check out his full views and what you can expect from the film in the audio review below.
