Across four hours, James Brown: Say it Loud traces the incredible trajectory of Brown’s life and career from a 7th grade drop-out arrested and jailed at the age of 16 for breaking into a car in the Jim Crow-era South, to an entertainment legend whose groundbreaking talent and unique perspective catapulted him to become a cultural force. His words, songs, style and moves inspired musical revolutions and molded a nation’s view of Black Pride and Black masculinity.

I know it’s gonna be a great program. Sadly, my husband, guitarist Daryl Brown wasn’t included in this documentary like his other siblings. Daryl was the only child that graced the stage with his father becoming apart of his band, The Soul Generals. If anyone should’ve been involved, it’s definitely him. Daryl traveled all around the world with his father, and he has so many great memories with him. Regardless of the circumstances, we’re definitely gonna be watching. God Bless.

I’m definitely gonna tune in. Sadly, my husband wasn’t apart of this documentary, and out of all my father n laws children, my husband was the only one that graced the stage with his father, being apart of his band, The Soul Generals. My husband’s name ( James Brown son) is Daryl Brown. Daryl is a drummer, and a guitarist. Daryl played the guitar in the band, and was able to travel around the world with his father and uncle Danny Ray. I’m really confused on how he was left out of the mix.

It totally saddens me that Key!!!!!!People were left out the info saids description interviews etc from friends family protégé’s how can Darryl Brown be left out how can myself who did two short films with him at his request as well was personally flown out to many!!!!! of his concerts from his management Mr Bobbit. my band Tony Wilson and The Godfather of Soul Band was the very band Mr Brown Requested to back him at his last Augusta Concert in his home town may 27th 2006
seems simply like Danny Ray the MC and cape man was totally left out!!!! and not even mentioned in the Get On Up Movie and believe me he was Super Bad Hurt so when you have all of these producers that clearly didn’t do their homework on who his official protege that he selected is
