Zoe Wees Reflects On Her Upbringing On ‘Sorry For The Drama’
The heartfelt track is the latest preview of the star’s upcoming debut album, ‘Therapy’
Zoe Wees has reflected on her upbringing in her emotional new single and latest preview of her debut album, “Sorry For The Drama.”
The heartfelt track finds the singer apologizing to her mother, who raised her in a single-parent household with just the love and care of a good parent. “I hope you love this song as much as I do,” Wees told fans on social media ahead of the track’s release.
“We were never rich kids, rich kids/And always had a wish list at Christmas/I thought that I was missing something,” she sings in the powerful chorus. “And I’m so, so, so sorry mum/Sorry for all the drama.”
“Sorry For The Drama” is the latest track to be taken from Wees’ upcoming debut album, Therapy. The record will be released on November 3 via Capitol Records and will feature 20 songs, including “That’s How It Goes,” featuring 6LACK.
Therapy promises to delve further into Wees’ profound emotional journey of self-discovery, healing, and resilience. Through her poignant lyrics and powerful vocals, Zoe takes listeners on a therapeutic musical exploration, addressing personal struggles, triumphs, and the complex emotions that shape our lives.
The album will also boast the inclusion of the recent single “Lightning,” which found the star “pushing through all the doubt you get from those people who try to knock you down and underestimate you.” “When I’ve pushed through it all, I’ve found motivation that’s made me even stronger,” she shared. “Don’t ever doubt how powerful you can be.”
Elsewhere, the tracklist also features the previously released songs “Don’t Give Up,” “Daddy’s Eyes,” “Third Wheel,” “Girls Like Us,” and “Control.” The latter – Wees’ debut single – amassed over two billion streams and became a worldwide hit, and entered the Top 20 at Pop radio in the US.
