YG And Big Sean Collaborate On New Single ‘Go Big’ For ‘Coming 2 America’
The track comes from the upcoming ‘Coming 2 America (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ out March 5.
Rap forces YG and Big Sean have joined up on their latest single “Go Big” from the forthcoming Coming 2 America (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) out March 5 via Def Jam Recordings.
“Go Big” is a braggadocious reflection of the royal themes of Coming 2 America.
“I like views of oceans, free time don’t make no sense / Buyin’ a foreign with Pesos, I’m too real can’t play roles,” Big Sean raps. “Never did anything that ever require a plan / Tried to humble myself and pretend I’m not the man, really, I am / And some people get ahead and they selfish, start celebratin’ ‘fore they win / I am not one of them, hopin’ it work out, I rather go put the work in.”
In the track’s opening verse, YG exclaims: “Get a new bag every week / I be at the bank like Weezy / Withdraw this, please.”
“Go Big” is the second single to be released from the Coming 2 America official soundtrack, following the Bobby Sessions and Megan Thee Stallion collaboration “I’m A King.”
Sessions and Megan Thee Stallion previously worked together when he appeared on the rapper’s chart-topping single “Savage” in 2020.
Directed by Craig Brewer, Coming 2 America is the long-awaited sequel to the 1988 comedy Coming To America. The classic film’s original soundtrack featured music from The Cover Girls, Mel and Kin, Sister Sledge, Chico DeBarge and more.
The film follows characters King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his Semmi (Arsenio Hall) as they make their return to Queens, New York after Akeem is crowned king of the royal country of Zamunda.
The cast also features James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos, Louie Anderson, Wesley Snipes, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, Jermaine Fowler, Bella Murphy, Rotimi, KiKi Layne, Nomzamo Mbatha and Teyana Taylor.
Coming 2 America (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will arrive on streaming platforms alongside the release of the film on Amazon Prime Video.
