Watch Reba McEntire At Hollywood Bowl, Ahead Of New Book Event With Garth Brooks

Reba McEntire has shared a video on her YouTube channel featuring behind-the-scenes moments and a stage highlight from her recent, first-ever show at the Hollywood Bowl.

In the clip, we see the country superstar going through her pre-show routine as she prepares for her debut at the famous California venue. She then takes to the stage to tumultuous applause and we see and hear her opening performance of her live staple “Can’t Even Get The Blues,” written by Rick Carnes and Tom Damphier and included on her fifth studio album, 1982’s Unlimited. The song has a special place in Reba’s catalog, as it became her first country No.1.
The show took place on April 1 on McEntire’s current US tour. “What a dream to finally perform at the Hollywood Bowl!” she wrote. “This tour has been full of so many great memories.” The schedule began on March 9 and arrives at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA tonight (14) before concluding tomorrow with another landmark, as she plays her first show at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
In late January, Reba hosted a grand opening, in partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the city of Atoka, Oklahoma for the new dining and entertainment venue now open there, Reba’s Place. It features a multi-story restaurant, bar, retail and entertainment venue for local community and visiting guests. She described the Choctaw Nation as “the best partner,” adding: “It’s exciting to work with people who have a passion for this town and for creating jobs, tourism, and new opportunities in southeastern Oklahoma, in the community where I grew up.”
Next Monday (17), McEntire will make a return visit to Talk Shop Live to talk about her upcoming book Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots, with Garth Brooks, who wrote its foreword. The book is due for publication in October.
