Three-time Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum band Maroon 5 have shared the music video for their new single ‘Girls Like You’ featuring Cardi B, which is released through 222 Records/Interscope. The video reunited the band with film director David Dobkin, who directed Maroon 5’s music video for Sugar. You can watch the band’s new video below here.
In addition to their new music video with Cardi B, Maroon 5 kicked off the first leg of their Red Pill Blues would tour last week at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature special guest Julia Michaels. Tickets for the entire run are on sale now and there is more information available on the band’s website.
‘Girls Like You’ is the third single taken from Maroon 5’s sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues which was recently certified platinum by the RIAA. Executive produced by J. Kash and Adam Levine, the album features special guest appearances by SZA, Julia Michaels, A$AP Rocky and LunchMoney Lewis. The band’s most recent single ‘Wait’ is currently #6 at Top 40 and #4 at Hot AC radio, and has surpassed 131 million Spotify streams. In addition, ‘What Lovers Do’ which was the first single off of the album has accumulated over 515 million Spotify streams since its debut.
Hailing from Los Angeles, Maroon 5 signed with Interscope Records in 2014 and, prior to Red Pill Blues, released their fifth studio album V (pronounced “five”), which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s line-up has changed to accommodate the arrival of PJ Mortion on keyboardist and Sam Farrar on multiple instruments in 2012 and 2016, making the band up to seven official members. To date, Maroon 5 have sold more than 75 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists.
