Watch Dramatic New Video For Eminem’s ‘River’ Featuring Ed Sheeran
Eminem has shared the dramatic new music video for his song ‘River,’ which features Ed Sheeran. The song – which went to No. 1 in the UK as a stand-alone single in January 2018 – also features on Eminem’s US Billboard chart-topping album Revival, which was released by Shady Records/ Interscope in December 2017.
The new clip, directed by Emil Nava, begins with Eminem and Sheeran talking about love. “My personal life is not exactly a highlight reel,” Eminem says. Later, he tells his pregnant girlfriend: “We’re not keeping this one”, while the song also includes the hard-hitting lyric “I made you terminate my baby. “
Previously, the superstar Detroit rapper shared the music video for the album’s lead single ‘Walk on Water’, featuring Beyonce. The River visual marks Ed Sheeran’s second music video cameo of 2018. Last month, he appeared alongside Future in Taylor Swift’s ‘End Game’ promo.
Eminem originally teased the ‘River’ video in January, posting a photo of Sheeran on Instagram and writing in the caption: “So let the river run…@teddysphotos on set #REVIVAL.”
As previously reported by uDiscover Music, Eminem will be hitting the road in Europe for a few dates on his Revival Tour during the summer of 2018. Beginning with a June 30 at the Oslo Sommertid Festival, Norway, the rapper will make stops in Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands before wrapping with two shows at Twickenham Stadium in London on 14 and 15 July respectively.
British-born ‘River’ film director Emil Nava first shot to fame after directing the film for Jessie J’s ‘Do It Like A Dude’ in 2010. He has since gone on to direct well over 100 music videos and has worked with artists such as Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Nick Jonas, Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris and Jennifer Lopez.
