Adams’ new album, Shine A Light is his 14th studio set and it’s released through Polydor Records on 1 March and will be available across all physical formats, including vinyl and on all digital platforms.

The Grammy Award-winning star said of writing ‘Shine A Light’ with Ed Sheeran, “I met him in Dublin [last year] at one of his shows and we kept in touch. “One day I sent him a chorus I had for a song idea I had called ‘Shine A Light’ and asked him if he was interested in collaborating on it. I got a couple of verses back a few days later, and man you should hear him sing it!”

The Canadian star also spoke of his new album. “I’m thrilled to be releasing this new 12-track studio album, which has a good blend of rock and pop and R&B”, he said in a statement. “The new album will also feature a duet with American pop star Jennifer Lopez on the future classic ‘That’s How Strong Our Love Is’. Working with Jennifer was a dream, our voices sound amazing together.”

As uDiscover Music previously reported, the singer-songwriter is also undertaking a major arena tour of the UK and Ireland this spring. The seven-date ‘Shine A Light’ arena tour, which precedes his forthcoming album is set to kick off in Belfast on 25 February and you can check out details of all the dates below.

Adams has enjoyed success from a string of number 1’s in over 40 countries and has sold an excess of 65 million records worldwide – achievements that were revisited on his acclaimed greatest hits, Ultimate, released by USM/Polydor Records in November 2017. His unique take on live shows has also established his reputation as one of the world’s most renowned in-concert performers.
