Van Morrison Announces UK Shows For 2019 And 2020
The new dates will follow Morrison’s two London shows at the Roundhouse as part of Inversions Festival.
Van Morrison announces string of new UK shows for 2019 and 2020. The legendary Northern Irish singer-songwriter will hit the road in October, performing in Bournemouth, Cardiff, Oxford and Nottingham, with a stop at Brighton in early December. He’ll then pick things up on 31 December with three consecutive nights at Belfast’s Stormont Hotel.
The new dates will follow Morrison’s two London shows at the Roundhouse as part of Inversions Festival. He’s also due to appear at London’s Cadogan Hall for the Rock Island Line 65th anniversary concert on July 13.
Tickets for Morrison’s Belfast shows are on sale now, while tickets for the rest of the new UK dates go on sale at 9am on 28 June. For further information on all the dates, visit the artist’s official website.
Starting his music career in 1958, as a member of the Monarchs, Van Morrison went on to join Them, releasing two albums, before embarking on a solo career.
He released his debut single, ‘Brown Eyed Girl’, in 1967, which hit No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has gone on to release more than 30 albums across his career, including his debut LP, the influential Astral Weeks, in 1967, Moondance, in 1970 and His Band and the Street Choir which hit #18 in the UK Albums Chart. His latest releases include 2017’s high profile Roll With The Punches and 2018’s The Prophet Speaks.
