Mercury Nashville’s Travis Denning Releases Debut EP ‘Beer’s Better Cold’
Denning co-wrote all but one track on the EP, which is produced by Jeremy Stover.
Mercury Nashville’s Travis Denning releases his debut EP Beer’s Better Cold today (15). It includes his current top five airplay smash ‘After A Few’ and five other songs. Denning co-wrote all but one track on the EP.
He worked on the release with producer Jeremy Stover, both of them determined to give it the feel of Denning’s full-throttle live shows. “I’m so pumped to finally have this music out,” said the native of Warner Robins, Georgia. “We’ve poured a lot of passion, hours and life into these songs. I hope when people turn these songs up they hear that.”
At home, everywhere
Denning has numerous live at-home performances on national platforms lined up to mark the EP’s release. Tonight at 7pm ET, he’ll play acoustically on The Outdoor Channel as part of their Country Outdoors LIVE series. Also today, he’s on Taste Of Country’s Happy Hour. Tomorrow (16) at 8am EST, the singer-writer is a guest on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown.
He will continue to perform and share more stories behind the EP over the coming days. Denning is on Facebook Live with Country Rebel on 18 May, Instagram Live on Country Now (19), American Songwriter’s Behind The Mic (20) and Facebook Live with One Country (21). There’s an Instagram Live with Sounds Like Nashville on 22 May and more.
‘After A Few’ rises 6-5 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay this week (remarkably, its 61st on the survey) and 9-7 on Hot Country Songs. It follows Denning’s stirring debut single and story song ‘David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs.’ At the beginning of the year, he was direct support on Dustin Lynch’s Stay Country Tour, and he’s scheduled to guest on Sam Hunt’s Southside Summer Tour. He’s previously played opening slots for Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson, LANCO and Riley Green, and completed his first headlining Heartbeat Of A Small Town Tour.
Denning started playing local bars at 16, building a following with his distinctive songs and raucous guitar solos, born of a love of country, pop, rock and metal. When he moved to Nashville, he had songs covered by Jason Aldean, Justin Moore, Michael Ray and Chase Rice. He also wrote Ray’s current radio hit ‘Her World Or Mine.’ In his own burgeoning career, Denning has total worldwide streams of over 106 million.
