Hard rock outfit Thunderpussy has shared a new single, ‘Never Know’ off their upcoming EP, Milk It, coming this fall.
The rocking blues number is the first track featuring the band’s new drummer and “all-around badass babe,” Lindsey Elias.
“‘Never Know’ was a labour of lust!” the band shared in a statement. “We dove deep, got stuck, and let it go. Turns out it came back to us with a new energy and a new drummer! This was our first experience recording in LA with a group of producers that blew us away. We feel like the sound is something we’d been searching for a while and ended up being there all along. You truly never know what will happen when you let something go. If it’s meant to be it always finds a way back!”
The scorching new single features the one-two punch of frontwoman Molly Sides’ sultry vocals, power riffs courtesy of guitarist Whitney Petty and a driving beat by Elias.
The song follows the release of Thunderpussy’s self-titled debut album last year, on which Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready lent guitar and production, calling them his “favourite new band.”
The band is currently at work on their second album, after taking a break for some summer touring with Black Pistol Fire and Hollis Brown and have just announced new West Coast dates for their ‘Scandalous & Immoral Tour’ with Ramonda Hammer.

This is a great song and after eagerly awaiting a new song from them there was no disappointment. The new production is very evident as the is a bit more polished from latter work withut losing any poser or sass. The quitar, bass and vocals are extreme with a great drum bedrock. I have to admit i do miss Dunphy’s more dynamic style with flourishes and fills that gave songs more energy which is not to say Elias’s drumming is weak in any way. I can’t wait for the full ensemble of songs.
