Thomas Rhett To Mark ‘Where We Started’ Release With Amazon Music Event
The livestream will begin at 7pm CT on Friday (April 1) with a Twitch pre-show.
Thomas Rhett will mark Friday’s (1) release of his new, sixth studio album Where We Started by partnering that day with Amazon Music for the launch event Thomas Rhett: The Live Experience.
The livestream will start at 7pm CT with a Twitch pre-show, to be hosted by Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson from the Country Heat Weekly podcast. Fans can access the pre-show via the Amazon Music channel on Twitch; on Prime Video; and within the Amazon Music mobile app via Twitch.
“I’m so pumped to celebrate the release of Where We Started this Friday with Amazon Music,” says the country star. “Whether you’re here in Nashville or anywhere else in the world watching virtually, I’m thankful to collaborate with the people at Amazon Music to help us reach as many of you as we possibly can. The show is really, really special to me and full circle in so many ways – can’t think of a better wait to celebrate together!”
Rhett recently previewed the Valory Music Co. album with the track “Death Row,” featuring Tyler Hubbard and Russell Dickerson and inspired by their visit to a men’s prison in Tennessee with their guitars. The song was written by Rhett with Ashley Gorley and Zack Crowell. It will feature on Where We Started along with a duet with Katy Perry on the title track, and a guest appearance by Riley Green.
The album will also include Rhett’s current country success “Slow Down Summer,” which rises 14-12 in its 21st week on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and 12-11 on Hot Country Songs. He also guests on Breland’s current chart entry “Praise The Lord.”
In addition to all regular formats, Where We Started is available exclusively from Rhett’s website in a blue cassette edition with added commentary. “Who remembers their first cassette tape?!”, he wrote on Twitter.
