Listen to The Weeknd’s New Album, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’
The new record features Playboi Carti, Anitta and more.
The Weeknd has released his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. The record, out today via XO/Republic Records, is the final installment in a trilogy that includes After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022).
Abel Tesfaye first previewed Hurry Up Tomorrow back in September 2024, when he released “Timeless” with Playboi Carti as the record’s first single. He also performed tracks from the album at a sold-out, one-night-only show in Sǎo Paolo, which drew millions of views on a YouTube livestream.
The new LP was originally scheduled for a January 24th release but was delayed due to the California wildfires. In response, Tesfaye donated $1 million to wildfire relief efforts, as well as mandated all proceeds from the album track “Take Me Back to LA” go to the LA Regional Food Bank.
The past year has been a record-breaking one for Tesfaye, who in 2024 became the first artist in history to see 27 songs surpass 1 billion streams each on Spotify. To celebrate Hurry Up Tomorrow’s release, the artist has partnered with the streamer to launch the Hurry Up Tomorrow “Pop Up Experience,” an immersive art installation that will be in New York City from January 31st through February 2nd.
In 2025, Tesfaye will also star in a feature film inspired by the new album, alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Directed by Trey Edward Schults, the psychological thriller is set to hit theaters on May 16th. It follows Tesfaye’s 2023 starring role in HBO’s The Idol, which he co-created alongside Euphoria’s Sam Levinson and collaborator Reza Fahim.
