The Last Dinner Party Plots Autumn UK Headline Tour
The rising London band will release its second single ‘Sinner’ later this week
The Last Dinner Party has announced details of a new UK headline tour for this autumn, following its debut appearance at Glastonbury festival.
The London five-piece will hit the road in October for a series of dates across England, Scotland and Wales. The tour will begin at Blackpool’s Central Library on October 8 before continuing on to Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Hull, London, Cambridge, and Cardiff. It will then wrap up in Bristol on October 22.
“Dear friends! The autumn odyssey is here!” the band wrote on Twitter. “We shall be traversing the sticky floors of the UK’s finest watering-holes and bringing our dulcet tones to all who would lend us an ear. Ready the spears, the mandolins, the chariots, the crossbows and the crowns.”
Tickets will go on general sale at 10am BST on Thursday (June 29). A pre-sale will open before that at 10am tomorrow (28) – sign up for access here. Support on the tour will come from Picture Parlour.
The tour news follows the band making its debut appearance at Glastonbury festival this weekend (June 24), drawing a huge crowd to the Woodsies tent despite its early stage time. The Last Dinner Party will be appearing at numerous festivals across the rest of the summer, including Reading & Leeds, Latitude, and more.
On Friday, the band will follow up its debut single, “Nothing Matters,” with its second release, “Sinner.” “Toll the bells, light the beacons, sound the alarms, we can’t wait to share more music with you,” the band wrote on Twitter last week.
“Nothing Matters” hailed The Last Dinner Party’s arrival in April, unveiling Abigail Morris (vocals), Georgia Davies (bass), Lizzie Mayland (guitar), Aurora Nishevci (keys), and Emily Roberts (lead guitar). The band played its first live show a little over 18 months ago and has built up a following through its gigs, which have included support slots with The Rolling Stones at London’s Hyde Park.
