The Jonas Brothers Channel The 80s With ‘Only Human’ Music Video
The Jonas Brothers have released another 80s-inspired music video for their single ‘Only Human’.
After channelling Miami Vice for their ‘Cool’ music video, The Jonas Brothers have released another retro-minded video for their single ‘Only Human’.
Co-written by Swedish songwriter Shellback, the reggae-laced track is the third official single of their smash comeback album Happiness Begins, that dropped earlier this summer on 7 June. It was their first album as a group in 10 years and debuted at the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200.
Directed by Anthony Mandler, who also helmed the band’s videos for ‘Sucker’ and ‘Cool’, the visual sees the boy band doing their best Midnight Star impersonation, rocking 80s outfits complete with silk blouses and Ray bans as they rock the club. The brothers embrace the throwback aesthetic wholeheartedly, breaking out old dance moves and dancing through the streets.
The ‘Only Human’ video arrives during a busy summer for the brothers; the band kicked off an extensive US tour just last week in addition to being nominated for four awards at the 2019 MTV’s Video Music Awards, including one for Video of The Year for their hit single, ‘Sucker’.
The Happiness Begins Tour marks group’s 10th concert tour and will include a mix of new music as well as fan favourites. Additionally, Bebe Rexha and Jordan McGraw will be joining them as opening acts on the tour. The tour kicked off in Miami and will close out in Paris in late February of 2020.
In addition to their chart-topping album and a comeback tour, the brothers plan to release an upcoming memoir titled Blood. The book details the true story of the Jonas Brothers from their formation in the 2000s, to their sensational rise to stardom, their break up during the height of fame, and finally their recent reunion. Blood is due out on 12 November and is available for pre-order. Visit their official artist website for tour details.
