Kesha will premiere an unreleased clip from her MTV show (a cover of The Beastie Boys’ ‘Fight for Your Right’), Guapdad 4000 will give fans a cooking demo as Gordon Scamsey in a “Cooking with Flava” segment, and Ashnikko (who was going to be a surprise after-hours set at FADER FORT this year) will sing along to her hit single ‘Tantrum’ as she’s getting a wax.
“These artists join the Fader in this broadcast as an opportunity to raise money for various charities that focus on helping the city and people of Austin, as well as musicians and the entertainment industry on the whole during this global crisis,” according to the press release.
Viewers of the Digital FORT broadcast will be encouraged to donate to one of the causes Fader is partnering with, which include, I Lost My Gig, Banding Together, South By South Best, Stand With Austin, Central Texas Food Bank and other local charities.
The FADER Fort has been a staple of the SXSW festival. Now in its 18th consecutive year, this marks the first time the performance showcase has ever been exclusively online.
