TCTS Drops Single ‘Better Without You’ Feat. Glowie
The bouncy breakup anthem delivers propulsive house beats and irresistible hooks.
Critically-acclaimed British DJ, producer, artist, and remixer TCTS has just dropped an infectious new house track, “Better Without You” via Astralwerks. Perhaps the most effervescent breakup anthem ever, the poppy single features the tantalizing vocals of rising Icelandic artist, Glowie. A sci-fi-inspired visual for “Better Without You,” featuring slick, 3-D animation, was released alongside the track.
Dubbed “an intoxicating house anthem that is simply riddled with catchy melodies and addictive basslines” by Cultr, “Better Without You” stands as a triumphant pairing of talent, and highlights Glowie’s unique voice. Listeners may recognize the artist from her recent singles, “Cruel,” “I’m Good,” and “Body,” all of which appear on her debut EP, Where I Belong (2019).
“Better Without You” follows TCTS’ dancefloor hit “Not Ready For Love” featuring Maya B. The song claimed coveted real estate for weeks on Spotify’s Mint playlist and has since generated over 10 million global streams to date. The track also drew acclaim from a variety of outlets. DJ Magazine called “Not Ready For Love” “peak time ecstasy with enough bounce to shake any dancefloor,” while Billboard simply declared the song to be “infectious.”
Since releasing his debut EP, Hands, in 2012, TCTS (born Sam O’Neill) has quietly risen to the forefront of electronic dance music. The Manchester-based artist has garnered over 75 million streams across his catalog and has received accolades from the likes of NYLON, i-D, Stereogum, The FADER, Clash, MTV, Wonderland, Spin, Mixmag, Vibe, and The Guardian. TCTS has also produced popular remixes for the likes of HAIM (“Forever), Jessie Ware (“Champagne Kisses”), and Years & Years (“King”), among others.
On stage, TCTS has shared billings with such acts as Disclosure, Todd Terje and Duke Dumont, and has appeared on stages across the world – from festivals like Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, and Hideout to the hottest clubs in Ibiza. TCTS can also be heard every Friday night on the UK’s KISS FM, where he hosts his midnight FNK show.
