SUSTO Added To The 2019 Long Road Festival Line-Up
The South Carolina outfit will be performing material from their third album ‘Ever Since I Lost My Mind’, released in February.
South Carolina-based band SUSTO have been added to the line-up for the 2019 Long Road Festival. The band’s show at the fast-rising country and Americana festival is a part of their tour of the UK this autumn, during which they will be performing material from their third album Ever Since I Lost My Mind, released in February this year on Rounder Records.
Written entirely by Justin Osborne, the charismatic front-man and creative force behind SUSTO, Ever Since I Lost My Mind draws from a wide array of influences, from indie-rock to alternative to Latin, all delivered through the voice of a commanding singer-songwriter in Osborne. SUSTO’s sound has been compared to The War On Drugs and Wilco, and they have opened for the likes of The Lumineers, Band of Horses and The Head and The Heart.
SUSTO will also perform at 1000 Island at The Garage in London and Headrow House in Leeds on 5 and 6 September respectively, before making their way to The Long Road – the UK’s best new country, roots and Americana festival, which takes place at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire.
Stars such as Kip Moore, Josh Turner, Suzy Bogguss and the nine-time Grammy Award-winning Asleep At The Wheel are among the acts already announced for the 2019 Long Road. This year’s event will once again present a range of stage takeovers featuring specialist country and Americana organisations including The Bluegrass Situation (BGS), an online music magazine and curator promoting the continued growth of bluegrass, roots, progressive folk rock, Americana music and culture, The Americana Music Association UK, and independent UK label Loose Records.
