Once referred to as “The Avengers Of K-Pop”, the seven members of the chart-topping supergroup are established, multi-hyphenate stars in their own right, all hailing from four of today’s biggest boy groups. Actor, dancer and singer-songwriter Taemin hails from “The Princes of K-Pop”, Shinee, while Baekhyun and Kai both come from the South Korean-Chinese group Exo, and also have successful acting careers. Taeyong and Mark, both rappers, singers and songwriters, come from NCT 127, while Thai-Chinese performer Ten and Hong Kong rapper/singer/model Lucas are known for their work in the Chinese boy group WayV.
SuperM will be performing songs from their debut EP, SuperM – The 1st Mini Album, released in October. The massively successful release entered the Billboard 200 at No.1, making Super M the first Korean act to top the US album chart with a debut.
The eponymous album included such acclaimed hits as ‘I Can’t Stand The Rain’, ‘2 Fast’ as well as debut single, ‘Jopping’, which was named as one of the best K-Pop Songs of 2019 by the likes of Billboard and Dazed. Buzzfeed, meanwhile, included the song in their Best K-Pop Videos Of 2019 roundup, calling the video for ‘Jopping’ a, “Powerful, futuristic concept…‘Jopping’ is more than just a music video – it’s truly an experience”.
During their concert, SuperM will debut brand-new music for fans, while members of the group will also perform solo material.
Virtual concertgoers can expect an immersive, interactive experience that will incorporate a wide variety of camera shots, augmented reality, and digital communication between the group and the audience.
