Shania Twain, Celine Dion And Bryan Adams Set For COVID-19 Canadian TV Special
‘Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble’, will feature a host artists including Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, Alessia Cara and more.
Following the massive success of the ‘One World: Together At Home’ global broadcast, Canadian artists and celebrities are coming together for a special television broadcast in support of health care workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic in Canada.
The one-hour broadcast, ‘Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble’, will feature a host of celebrities and music artists, including Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, Alessia Cara, Michael Bublé, Sarah McLachlan, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Barenaked Ladies and more.
The event will also feature appearances from Canadian actors, writers, hosts and athletes including Howie Mandel, Will Arnett, Jason Priestley, author Margaret Atwood (Handmaid’s Tale), hockey players Hayley Wickenheiser and Connor McDavid, tennis player Bianca Andreescu and swimmer Penny Oleksiak.

The one-hour event will broadcast on 26 April on the CTV, CBC, Global Television and Citytv networks, as well as select specialty networks, radio stations, and streaming platforms across Canada. ‘Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble’ will air on English and French services on Sunday evening (at 7:00 pm across all markets/7:30 pm NT).
Along with supporting frontline healthcare workers, viewers will also be encouraged to donate to Food Banks Canada, a charity providing funds and support to food banks across the country.
“Front-line workers, across so many sectors, including food banking, have been drastically impacted by COVID-19,” says Chris Hatch, CEO of Food Banks Canada. “They need our support and we are thankful for Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble for helping our most vulnerable neighbours.”
This special has big shoes to fill, after the ‘One World: Together At Home’ raised over $128 million for the World Health Organisation (WHO) in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Hosted by late-night giants Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel, the Global Citizen and WHO special featured at-home appearances by Lady Gaga, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, Elton John, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Kacey Musgraves, Alicia Keys, Usher, Eddie Vedder, John Legend, Chris Martin and personal stories from frontline healthcare workers.
