Sting Releases Video For Breezy New Single, ‘If It’s Love’
‘The Bridge’ is set to be released on November 19.
Sting has released the music video for “If It’s Love,” a track off his forthcoming album, The Bridge, set for release on November 19 via A&M/Interscope/Cherrytree Records.
The upbeat, breezy, and infectious pop tune exhibits Sting’s undeniable gift for melody and is available now on all digital platforms. Directed by Lukas McFarlane and filmed at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London and Theatres De La Ville in Luxembourg, the associated music video features the dance company of Message In A Bottle, the critically acclaimed dance-theatre spectacular from triple-Olivier Award nominee, Kate Prince. Set to the iconic hits of 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist Sting, the soundtrack includes “Every Breath You Take,” “Roxanne,” “Walking On The Moon,” “Fields Of Gold,” and many more.
At the end of September, Sting released “Rushing Water,” the rocking opening salvo from the new album.
Sting says, “The song ‘Rushing Water’ is a fitting start to an album that seeks to bridge all of the petty differences that can separate us.”
Written by Sting, with music by Sting, Martin Kierszenbaum and Gavin Brown, “Rushing Water” features Dominic Miller and Gavin Brown on guitars, Josh Freese on drums, Martin Kierszenbaum on organ and keyboards, Fred Renaudin on additional synthesizers, and Gene Noble on background vocals.
The Bridge, penned in a year of global pandemic, showcases Sting’s prolific and diverse songwriting prowess, with this new set of songs representing styles and genres explored throughout his inimitable career. The album’s first single, “If It’s Love” – an infectious ear worm – is also available now on all digital platforms.
