Steve Miller Releases Another ‘Welcome To The Vault’ Taster, ‘Say Wow!’

The build-up to the release of Steve Miller’s career-spanning rarities box set Welcome To The Vault continues, as the blues-rock great shares another previously unreleased track. ‘Say Wow!’ was recorded in 1973 and will feature on the 3CD + DVD package, to be released on 11 October via Sailor/Capitol/UMe and now available for pre-order. A single CD, Selections From The Vault, has also been announced for simultaneous release with the larger set.

The collection was announced in June, when the first preview, an alternative version of the Steve Miller Band’s 1976 US and Canadian No. 1 ‘Rock’n Me,’ was released. In July, Billboard premiered an alternative version of another signature hit by the band, 1977’s ‘Swingtown.’

A live version from 2016 of ‘Take The Money And Run,’ a reading of Mickey & Sylvia 1956 hit ‘Love Is Strange’ and a take on Howlin’ Wolf’s ‘Killing Floor’ are also available. This makes a total of six tracks that are now on all DSPs and available as instant downloads with pre-orders of Welcome To The Vault.

The single-disc Selections From The Vault will feature 13 tracks, 12 of them previously unreleased recordings. A limited edition clear vinyl edition of the Selections sampler will showcase eight tracks from Welcome To The Vault, all of them previously unreleased.
