YouTube will follow its two weekend of livestreams of the Coachella Festival by giving the same treatment to Stagecoach for the first time, starting on Friday (29).

The major country festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California is returning after its cancellation because of Covid in 2020 and 2021. It will thus be available for streaming to country fans all over the world, via the partnership between YouTube and music event promotions company Goldenvoice.

The weekend-long livestream will begin at 5.30pm CT on April 29 with host BRELAND, the first star presenter who will also perform at the event as well as interviewing fellow country artists. Performers that day include Brandi Carlile, Midland, Tanya Tucker, Jordan Davis, the Marcus King Band, Amythyst Kiah, Ingrid Andress, and headliner Thomas Rhett.

On Saturday (30), Reyna Roberts will host the livestream which will include performances by Hardy, Margo Price, Brothers Osborne, Lee Brice, Travis Jinks, Caylee Hammack, Molly Tuttle, and headliner Carrie Underwood.

Sunday (May 1) sees Hailey Whitters on hosting duties for a bill headlined by Luke Combs that also features Lainey Wilson, Yola, the Black Crowes, Cody Johnson, the Mavericks, Rhiannon Giddens, Hayes Carll, and the especially notable inclusion of Smokey Robinson. When he was announced last summer, the Motown giant said “I’ve been a fan of country music forever…I couldn’t be more excited to have been invited to the party.”

In an earlier interview, he explained that his appearance at Stagecoach is even more appropriate than some of his fans may know. “When I was three or four years old, I loved cowboys and wanted to be one, so my uncle gave me the nickname ‘Smokey Joe,’” he said. “That was my ‘cowboy’ name, and I’ve kept it ever since.”

Subscribers to YouTube Premium will enjoy special access to four YouTube Premium pre-parties throughout the Stagecoach weekend, which will automatically redirect into the live Stagecoach sets by those artists.
