In effect, one half radio and one half snow globe, the new resource is a fun little Xmas app which allows fans to shake up the snow globe and choose a variety of festive favourites ranging from classic rock (Bob Seger’s ‘Sock It To ‘Em’) to classic pop (Paul McCartney’s ‘Wonderful Christmastime’), and from soul (Diana Ross’ ‘It’s Christmastime’, The Jackson 5’s ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’) to established festive favourites such as Bing Crosby’s ageless ‘White Christmas’.

The new app also allows fans the option to log in to Spotify or Apple Music and to save the Snowglobe.FM playlist straight to their library. Visit the Snowglobe.FM website to find out more.

Snow globes are very much a symbol of Christmas. A transparent sphere, traditionally made of glass, a snow globe usually encloses a miniaturized scene, often together with a model of a town, landscape or figure. In keeping with the newly-designed app, Snow globes sometimes have a built-in music box that plays a song.

As uDiscover Music also recently reported, a new online music hub, ‘ChristmasMusic.TV’ has also recently launched, which collects festive favourites allowing music fans to get into the holiday spirit.

‘ChristmasMusic.TV’ offers fans the choice of three video playlists. The first, ‘Classic Christmas’ features the videos for long-established festive favourites such as Frank Sinatra’s ‘Jingle Bells’, Dean Martin’s ‘Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!’, Burl Ives’ ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’, Nat ‘King’ Cole’s ‘Christmas Song’, Brenda Lee’s ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’ and many more.

In addition, Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) also recently launched a new initiative to bring reimagined holiday classic for the modern age, with brand-new animated videos to go with Frank Sinatra’s ‘Jingle Bells’, Brenda Lee’s ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’, Bobby Helms’ ‘Jingle Bell Rock’, the Jackson 5’s ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’, the Supremes’ ‘My Favorite Thing’ and The Temptations’ ‘Silent Night’ and many more.

Listen to the best Christmas songs on Apple Music and Spotify.
