Sabrina Carpenter Stops By NPR’s Tiny Desk For Concert
The ‘Espresso’ singer recently released her ‘Nonsense Christmas’ special.
Sabrina Carpenter is wrapping up a stellar 2024 with a stop at NPR’s famous Tiny Desk for an intimate concert.
The pop star offered up an array of hits while backed by pedal steel and a string quartet, sharing a setlist full of fan favorites. She began with “Taste,” before performing “Bed Chem,” “Please Please Please,” “Slim Pickins,” “Espresso,” and “Juno.”
During the performance, Carpenter reflected on how far she has come as an artist. She said: “When I first started [writing songs] it was kinda in a room like this — a room with very dry walls and there’s no reverb. But there’s something so real and special.”

Back in November, Sabrina Carpenter began teasing her “A Nonsense Christmas” event with a trailer. The special event aired on December 6 at 9 PM ET exclusively on Netflix.
Before performing at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, fans at the show were able to see the live premiere of the trailer for the event.
Guests who appear in “A Nonsense Christmas” include: Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, and Kali Uchis as musical guests; Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Nico Hiraga, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell in scripted roles.
Carpenter is an executive producer alongside her sister Sarah. Sam Wrench, who also directed Taylor Swift’s 2023 concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, directed A Nonsense Christmas.
In a press release, Netflix stated: “It’s a nonsense holiday and we’re so here for it. In this special with musical guests, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter will perform songs from her holiday EP fruitcake and other iconic chart-topping holiday covers. This special will also feature show-stopping music performances, comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos.”
When the special was announced, Carpenter said, “The holidays have always been so special to me. I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show — infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”
