The Rolling StonesUnzipped exhibition is making its latest international stop at Expo! Live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The traveling installation, rebranded from its original incarnation as Exhibitionism, made its Canadian debut in Kitchener, Ontario last November, with a run that lasted into February, following stints in Europe, the United States, and Asia.

The show traces the Stones’ history all the way back to the group]s formation in 1962, the 60th anniversary of which they are currently marking with the SIXTY tour of Europe. After a triumphant performance last Saturday (25) in London’s Hyde Park, the Stones return there for a second night this Sunday (July 2).

Highlights of Unzipped include a replica of their recording studio, and an immersive, realistic reconstruction of the flat in Edith Grove, London, where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones famously lived in the band’s early days. Unzipped culminates with an unforgettable three-dimensional experience capturing the Rolling Stones live. As Jagger said when the show opened: “It’s not like walking into a museum. It’s an event, an experience. It’s about a sense of the Rolling Stones. It’s something we want people to go away talking about it.”

The show contains more than 300 original objects from the band’s own collection. Instruments and stage designs are on display along with rare audio fragments, video footage, personal diaries, original costumes, posters, and album art. Tickets for Unzipped are available now at $42.50, and the show is running at Expo! Live, Portage Place, 393 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, until July 31.

Exhibitionism, billed as the “largest touring experience of its kind ever to be staged,” opened at the Saatchi Gallery in London in 2015, and went on to stints in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Sydney.
