Robyn Shares New ‘Send To Robin Immediately’ Video
Shot in her native Stockholm, the video shifts the spotlight away from the singer and focuses on a group of diverse youth.
Swedish pop icon Robyn has shared another beautiful visual for her track ‘Send To Robin Immediately’ off her latest album Honey.
Shot in her native Stockholm, the Max Vitali-directed video shifts the spotlight away from the singer and focuses on a group of diverse youth, decked out in her new gender-neutral clothing line with Björn Borg called RBN.
“RBN reflects my love for street style and how it’s signalled in youth culture,” Robyn says of the collection. “It is inspired by my favourite garments throughout the years. I thought it would be cool to make gear that I can wear both to go out running and clubbing in.”
Collaborating with renowned stylist Naomi Itkes, RBN combines Swedish youth culture with Björn Borg’s archival pieces and will be available exclusively at Browns East and Brownsfashion.com in the UK.
Like her ‘Honey’ video, the new music video celebrates love and relationships in all its forms and paints a rather utopic picture of beautiful people dancing to Robyn in the middle of the forest.
The rest of the video sees this intimate circle of friends dance by a lake house and go on various adventures together in the scenic backdrop of rural Sweden.
‘Send To Robin Immediately’ samples the classic 1989 house track ‘French Kiss’. In an interview with the New York Times, Robyn revealed the idea behind the sample came from Adam Bainbridge, better known as Kindness, who also produced the track.
Robyn’s partner Vitali was also behind the visuals for her previous music video ‘Honey’, which included the same themes of celebrating unconventional love and finding euphoria through dancing.
In addition to launching her capsule collection, Robyn is also prepping for a world tour that kicks off on 22 February as part of the Red Bull Music Festival in Los Angeles.
