Robyn, Iggy Pop And The Chemical Brothers Confirmed For 2019 Mad Cool Festival
The Cure, The National, The 1975 and Smashing Pumpkins have already been confirmed for the 2019 bash in Madrid.
Robyn, Iggy Pop and The Chemical Brothers have been confirmed for the 2019 Mad Cool Festival in Spain.
Additionally, Disclosure (DJ Set), H.E.R., Tokimonsta, Nao, Charlotte De Witte, Jasss, Vince Staples, Sharon Van Etten, Eric Prydz, George Fitzgerald (Live), Haai, Valeras, Years & Years, Miles Kane, Mitú, Yonaka, Le Butcherettes, Delaporte, Lala and Doblecapa have all been added to the event’s 2019 bill.
As uDiscover Music previously reported, The Cure, Bon Iver, Noel Gallagher, Smashing Pumpkins, Vampire Weekend, The National, Wolfmother, Greta Van Fleet, Mogwai, Teenage Fanclub, The Twilight Sad and The 1975 have already been confirmed for what is already looking like a truly stellar line-up. Plenty more acts are also likely to be announced in the months ahead.
Mad Cool 2019 will also be getting rid of the VIP areas in front of all stages. Other improvements include reducing the number of stages from seven to six, and decreasing the capacity by 5,000 per day. They also plan to have more toilets on site, as well as increasing the size and staffing of all bars.
“Mad cool is working closely with a prestigious and renowned company in order to ensure the adequate functioning of the technical network,” a spokesman said. “In addition to this, wristbands bought online will be delivered anywhere in the world.”
This week also saw Mad Cool Festival rank among the top five of the official ‘Save The Date’ 100 reasons to visit Madrid in 2019 – hailing it as “one of the world’s most important festivals”.
After winning the NME Festival Award for Best Line-up, last year’s acclaimed event featured the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Queens Of The Stone Age, Jack White, Nine Inch Nails, Dua Lipa, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam and many more.
