Ringo Starr Announces US Dates For All Starr Band
Newly knighted, Sir Ringo Starr announced today an expanded US run for his 2018 tour with his All Starr Band.
The 20-date city trek starts in 1 September in Tulsa, Oklahoma and ends on 29 September at LA’s historic Greek Theatre. The band previously announced their European tour dates this summer in June and July, along with a one-off US date in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
As the name suggests, the All Star Band rotating line-up includes some serious players: singer-guitarist Colin Hay (Men at Work), guitarist Steve Lukather (Toto), singer-keyboardist Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey), saxophonist Warren Ham (Toto, Bloodrock), drummer Gregg Bissonette (Toto, Santana) and the newly recruited bassist-singer Graham Gouldman of 10cc.
The All Starr Band continues their diverse approach to the setlist, performing hits from each member’s respective band’s repertoire. When it comes to his All Star crew Ringo said:
“There is no greater joy for me than playing great music with great musicians. Every night we get to play for all those loving people and it makes the hassle of touring worth it. It is a Peace & Love fest and I can’t wait to see you all out there this summer and fall.”
