Entertainment icon Reba McEntire has returned with a new single, “I Can’t,” which she debuted on March 7th with an appearance on NBC’s The Voice. Complete with smoke and pyrotechnics, the performance welcomed the new song with a bang. The anthemic track is the first single from Reba’s upcoming album and was penned by Victoria Banks, Tania Hancheroff and Tia Sillers.

“I’m thrilled to have new music to share with my fans, and ‘I can’t’ wait to hear what they think about it,” Reba said. “This is such a powerful song, and I’m looking forward to performing it again next week at the ACM Awards.” The Academy of Country Music Awards Thursday will air on May 16th, streaming on Prime Video at 8p ET. Performing the single won’t be Reba’s only job for the night as she hosts the show for the 17th time, more than any other ACM host.

It’s also been shared that Reba will return to television with a new sitcom Happy’s Place, which has been given a series order by NBC. Reba will executive produce alongside her former Reba EPs Kevin Abbott, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis. Julie Abbott will also executive produce. Before Happy’s Place airs, fans can catch up on the beloved 6-season sitcom Rebanow available to stream on Netflix.

On top of that, Reba will continue her position as a coach on Season 25 of The Voice, with the two-part finale set for May 20th and 21st.

Reba’s last album was 2023’s Not That Fancy, which was released alongside a tie-in book, Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating and Dusting Off Your Boots. The album featured a new acoustic version of “If You See Him/If You See Her,” which McEntire originally recorded with Brooks & Dunn in 1998.
