Rammstein Side Project Lindemann Announce European Tour
Rammstein singer Till Lindemann and Hypocrisy main man Peter Tägtgren’s outfit will play 12 shows including a date at London’s 02 Forum.
Following the release of their explicit video for ‘Knebel’, Lindemann have announced they will be embarking on a European tour in February 2020.
The side-project of Rammstein’s Till Lindemann and Swedish producer and multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren, Lindemann’s second studio album F & M, is set for release on 22 November and will feature the already-released tracks ‘Ich weiß es nich’ and ‘Steh Auf’, as well as ‘Knebel.’
The album will be released as a standard edition six-panel digipack, a special edition with deluxe hardcover book, a 2LP 180g black vinyl edition, and in digital formats.
The album is the follow-up to 2015’s Skills In Pills, and promises to take the pair on “some unfamiliar and sometimes unexpected paths”, taking inspiration from the Brothers Grimm’s famous fairytale Hänsel and Gretel. Skills In Pills reached Gold status in Germany and was entirely in English. For their sophomore release, the duo decided to experiment further, with Lindemann singing entirely in German.
The origin of the Lindemann collaboration started with Till Lindemann and Hamburg’s Thalia Theatre, while he was working on a modern adaptation of Hänsel & Gretel. Being Lindemann, this was no typical adaptation, with the show exploring themes of fear, hope, poverty, abundance, cannibalism and death.
Five songs from this critically-acclaimed play have been supplemented with six brand new compositions from the duo to create their new record. The band also released their previously shared single, ‘Ich weiß es nicht’, on physical formats including a CD and 7-inch version.
