Post Malone Announces New Album, ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’
‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ is the hotly-anticipated follow-up to ‘beerbongs & bentleys’, which was released by Republic Records on 27 April 2018.
After the scorching success of ‘Wow’, ‘Goodbye,” and his Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper ‘Sunflower,’ genre-bending Texan rapper Post Malone is primed and ready to unleash his third album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, which is due out on Friday, 6 September.
“Sept 6 :)),” Malone succinctly tweeted early Monday morning, 26 August on Twitter. His manager, Dre London, doubled down on the news, and revealed the album title in an Instagram post.
“It’s been hard trying to keep this info away from the [world] especially when it’s gonna be the best birthday present ever,” he exclaimed. “Let’s all celebrate together- Album Is Called ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ & is [fire].”
Earlier this month, Malone tantalized fans with a preview of his new song ‘Circles’ during his Bud Light Dive Bar concert in NYC. He spoke highly of the record, dubbing it a “f_king fat groove.” During the show, he also teased that his album was set to drop September, but remained tight-lipped when it came to a release date.
Hollywood’s Bleeding is the hotly-anticipated follow-up to beerbongs & bentleys, which was released by Republic Records on 27 April 2018. After debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the record was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards, with ‘Rockstar’ being nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Performance. Additionally, ‘Better Now’ was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance.
In the US, on the day of its release, beerbongs & bentleys broke streaming records on Spotify. The album achieved 47.9 million streams in the US and 78,744,000 streams globally on the music service within 24 hours.
As of 2019, Post Malone has sold 60 million records in the US. He has a received a Diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for ‘Congratulations’. Additionally, he has won two American Music Awards, a Billboard Music Award and a MTV Video Music Award, and has been nominated for four Grammy Awards.
