Phil Collins Reschedules Royal Albert Hall Shows, Announces New UK Tour Dates
Phil Collins has announced a series of UK tour dates for November and December 2017 in addition to rescheduling his recently postponed shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Collins was in the midst of his first live shows in a decade when he was forced to cancel the last two of his comeback shows at Royal Albert Hall due to a fall in his hotel room.
The former Genesis turned solo icon, whose hits include ‘In The Air Tonight’ and ‘Easy Lover’, has since rescheduled those dates for November 26 and 27, and has also announced a batch of additional UK shows.
He is scheduled to kick off the tour in Nottingham before heading to Sheffield, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle and finishing off in Birmingham.
“It took just a few moments on stage and singing with the fans to convince me that this was the best idea I’ve had in years”, Collins said of the recent shows. “There’s so much love and so much fun. We decided to share that with as many people as we could.”
Last night (June 30), Collins and his band played a triumphant homecoming gig at the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park festival in the heart of London to 65,000 fans. Earlier the same evening, Collins received the Icon Award at the Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef Awards.
