Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billie Eilish And More To Star In Global Citizen Special
Late night hosts Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, alongside the cast of Sesame Street, will host the special.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Global Citizen announced today they’ve joined hands for One World: Together at Home, a global broadcast special on 18 April to support and applaud healthcare workers in the fight against COVID-19.
The star-studded line-up was curated in collaboration with Lady Gaga and will include special appearances from Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Kacey Musgraves, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Keith Urban, Lizzo, Maluma and more.

“We are all so very grateful to the healthcare professionals across the country and the world – this global pandemic is a catastrophe; I’m praying for them and also those who are sick,” Lady Gaga said during the virtual press conference. “I would like to send my prayers to people who are losing their jobs and having a hard time feeding themselves and their children.”

Gaga also announced that with the help of various corporations, tech companies and philanthropists, they have raised a total of $35 million for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO.
“We want to raise the money before we go on air. When we do go on air, put your wallets away, your credit cards away, and enjoy the show.”
The pop icon also made headlines over the weekend after revealing the official cover for her hotly anticipated album Chromatica. Gaga’s follow-up to Joanne was originally scheduled to arrive on 10 April but has postponed for later in the year in the wake of the coronavirus.
One World: Together at Home airs Saturday, 18 April at 8:00 pm. ET on ABC, NBC, ViacomCBS Networks, iHeartMedia and Bell Media networks and will stream on Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo and YouTube.
