Ólafur Arnalds’ TOKiMONSTA Remix of ‘They Sink’ Is Out Now

Ólafur Arnalds has released a new version of ‘They Sink’, remixed by renowned American record producer and DJ TOKiMONSTA (Jennifer Lee). The original version of the track features on Arnalds’ critically acclaimed album re:member, which is out now on Mercury KX. You can check the track out below.
An LA-based producer who has previously collaborated with artists such as Jessie Ware, Anderson Paak and Kelly Rowland, TOKiMONSTA is well known for her unique take on indie, electronic, R&B and dance music, TOKiMONSTA adds distorted beats, pulsating rhythms and upbeat synths to Arnalds’ haunting melody. The remix is an ingenious collaboration of two sonically different worlds colliding to create something truly singular.
Arnalds says, “I met TOKiMONSTA when playing alongside each other at Sónar Reykjavík a couple of years ago. Instantly fascinated by her approach and sound, I was very excited to see what she would do with a track like ‘They Sink’.
