‘Nirvana,’ the multi-platinum retrospective first released in 2002, will make its debut as a deluxe 45rpm double LP, pressed on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl, on November 13. Now available to pre-order from the uDiscover store here.
The album, which went seven times platinum, included the previously unreleased studio rendition of the last song recorded by the massively influential band, ‘You Know You’re Right.’ Written by Kurt Cobain in 1993, it was taped in January 1994. The compilation also featured such trademark Nirvana songs as ‘Come As You Are,’ ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and ‘In Bloom,’ as well as their cover of David Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold The World,’ from the Grammy-winning ‘MTV Unplugged In New York’ album.
The double LP format will include a digital download card for 24-bit 96kHz HD audio. There will be a standard 33rpm single LP edition, also on 180-gram heavyweight vinyl, which will feature a download card for 320kbps MP4 audio. The ‘Nirvana’ album will also be released in Blu-Ray Pure Audio, in high resolution 24-bit 96kHz in three stereo audio formats: PCM, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD stereo.
‘Nirvana’ topped the charts in Australia, where it went five-times platinum, and reached No. 3 in both the US and UK. The track listing is as follows:
