“I am delighted to announce our first ever ARENA tour of the UK. Christmas is indeed coming and we are putting together “the” party of the festive season!”, Rodgers said in a statement.

“The entire night will be programmed by me and in addition to all our hits will include my man MistaJam on the wheels of steel and more guests to be announced in the coming weeks. Come to dance!”

Earlier this year, Nile Rodgers and Chic released their new single ‘Till The World Falls’ – a star studded collaborative effort featuring Mura Masa and Vic Mensa.  The track was produced by Rodgers and Mura Masa, while also written by Rodgers, Mura Masa, Anderson .Paak, and an extensive list of other collaborators.

As the co-founder of Chic, Rodgers brought a distinctively funky sound to disco with chart-topping hits like ‘Le Freak’ (the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records) and ‘Everybody Dance’, even sparking the advent of hip-hop with ‘Good Times’.

His work with Chic and his production credits with artists such as David Bowie, Diana Ross and Madonna has helped sell over 500 million albums and 75 million singles worldwide, while his more recent collaborations with Daft Punk, Avicii, Sigala, Disclosure and Sam Smith have brought him back to the forefront of contemporary music.

Nile Rodgers and Chic play the following UK shows:

13 Dec 2018: Glasgow, SSE Hydro Arena
15 Dec 2018: Manchester, Manchester Arena
16 Dec 2018: Birmingham, Arena Birmingham
