Off the Brooklyn-bred rapper’s 2019 debut, Meet the Woo, Minaj sounds like she’s out for blood on her scene-stealing verses. Minaj’s version of ‘Welcome to the Party’ follows a recent remix by Rico Nasty and her recent contribution to DaBaby’s ‘Suge’.
“It’s a MAC, fact, I’m in the black/ Bach, we never lack, lack with that strap,” she spits over an aggressive beat.
The multi-platinum Queens rapper has been on a tear this summer, rebooting Queen radio and taking shots at those who wrong her while also teaming up with one of the hottest female rappers in the game, Megan Thee Stallion on their joint track ‘Hot Girl Summer’, featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
The legendary MC has been teasing a comeback album for some time now, following her No.2 album Queen, released last summer in 2018.
In addition to ‘Welcome To The Party’, Minaj also shared a new reggae-inflected track ‘Megatron’ back in June that saw the MC return to the more pop-driven sound that made her a household name. She also makes two appearance on the latest Chance The Rapper record, The Big Day including ‘Zanies and Fools’ and ‘Slide Around’.
She also recently changed her social media handles to Mrs Petty, leading many fans to speculate she’s already married her fiancé Kenneth Petty.
Meanwhile, Pop Smoke is one of the most buzzworthy signees on Victor Victor/Republic Records. The 20-year-old’s debut record is already making waves, with tracks like ‘MPR’ and his breakout single, ‘Welcome to the Party’ garnering millions of streams across his YouTube, SoundCloud and Spotify accounts, and earning him some A-list fans including Pusha-T and Rich The Kid.
