Nick Jonas To Debut New Single During ‘SNL’ Performance
The singer will be performing his latest single ‘Spaceman.’
Nick Jonas will be appearing as both the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on February 27. He will be premiering the first live performance of his upcoming single “Spaceman” out February 25 via Island Records.
While this will be Jonas’ first time hosting Saturday Night Live, which he called a “dream come true,” he’s no stranger to the show’s iconic stage. From their album Happiness Begins, the group performed “Sucker” and “Cool,” even throwing in a bit of “Burnin Up” during the latter. They had also appeared as musical guests back in 2009, performing “Video Girl” and “Tonight.”

“Spaceman” marks Jonas’ first official solo single since the Jonas Brothers made their return. The singer announced the track on Twitter ahead of the news of his Saturday Night Live appearance. First sharing a playlist of space-related tracks, he posted a snippet of the music video on TikTok in which he’s blasted off of an unknown planet in an space suit. He shared the artwork earlier today, which features himself standing on rocks in a desolate area, adding to the space theme, saying “The countdown begins now” with an astronaut emoji.
In the coming weeks, Jonas will be returning as a coach on The Voice and will be celebrating the release of his latest studio film Chaos Walking out March 5 via Lionsgate.
