K-Pop Phenoms NCT 127 Release ‘iScream Vol. 1: Kick It Remixes’
The ‘Kick It’ remixes collection brings together an eclectic set of international DJ and producers.
K-pop phenoms NCT 127 have released their remix collection, iScreaM Vol. 1: ‘Kick It’ Remixes, featuring three remixes of their recent single ‘Kick It’, out today.
The remix bundle showcases different perspectives on ‘Kick It’ – whose music video has over 43 million views on YouTube alone – from critically acclaimed DJs Valentino Khan, MINIMONSTER, and Hitchhiker.
“The original was so catchy and full of energy. I wanted to inject some trap and bass to turn it into a full-on banger,” said DJ Valentino Khan about the project.
‘Kick It’ is the lead single off their recent album, NCT #127 Neo Zone – The 2nd Album, released on 6 March and the first song chosen for a new monthly series called iScreaM, featuring remixed singles from various SM Entertainment’s artists.
The ‘Kick It’ remixes collection brings together an eclectic set of international DJ and producers. The entire series will be released via ScreaM Records, which was launched in 2016 as a sub-label of SM Entertainment that specializes in EDM.
NCT #127 Neo Zone – The 2nd Album debuted on at No.5 on the Billboard 200 and quickly made its way to the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Top Albums chart and the No.2 spot on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart.
‘Kick It’ stands out among an album full of “tracks that showcase NCT 127’s diverse skillset, shining a spotlight on each of the members’ artistic strengths as performers and songwriters,” wrote Billboard.
The group will also be releasing a deluxe repackage of Neo Zone, titled NCT #127 Neo Zone: The Final Round, featuring four new tracks –including their upcoming single ‘Punch’ – alongside the album’s original 13 tracks.
The album will be available digitally on 19 May worldwide, with physical versions arriving the following month on 12 June and can be pre-ordered here.
NCT 127 will also perform a live-streamed concert on 16 May at 11:00 pm PST via Beyond LIVE, the world’s first online exclusive concert series from SM Entertainment and South Korean Search Engine company Naver.
