Muni Long’s New Album ‘Revenge’ Is Out Now
Released via Def Jam, the R&B star’s latest features the smash hits ‘Made For Me’ and ‘Make Me Forget.’
Muni Long has released her new album Revenge via Def Jam Recordings.
On her own terms, Long has cemented herself as the superwoman of R&B, scoring multiple Number 1’s, reaching multiplatinum heights, and dominating the social and cultural conversations throughout the year. Piling up accolades, “Hrs & Hrs” just reached double-platinum status, her smash single from this project “Made For Me” is certified Platinum and the record’s second single “Make Me Forget” vaulted to No.1 on R&B Radio.
As a whole, the album showcases the breadth of the Grammy Award-winning superstar’s artistry. From bedroom-quaking throwback future classics to cathartic moments of pure empowerment, it illuminates every facet of her uncanny and undeniable presence. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s Revenge…
About Revenge, Long declares, “I’m trying to solidify myself as an R&B giant, and I’m confident enough to say it because I know we made some quality music. When you hear Revenge, I want you to feel like I did when I heard Maxwell’s first album. I hope my music can be a little bit of medicine. I promise you’ll feel better.”
Last month, she set the stage for the album with “Ruined Me.” Beyond tallying millions of streams, it incited unanimous critical applause. “Ruined Me” landed in the wake of “Make Me Forget” which climbed the charts, cracking the Top 10 of Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart.
Earlier this year, the artist recharged her platinum-certified hit “Made For Me” by dropping a powerhouse remix featuring Mariah Carey and delivered a show-stopping performance on the Season Finale of NBC’s The Voice.
“Made For Me” cracked the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 7 weeks at #1 on the R&B Radio Airplay Chart and catapulted to #1 on Apple’s R&B Chart and #2 on the Apple Music All Genres Chart. The music video has also 50 million YouTube views. Produced by the legendary Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox and Jordan XL, “Made For Me” followed in the footsteps of mega hit “Hrs & Hrs” and vaulted to #1 at R&B Radio solidifying her staying power at the top of the charts.
