After releasing his fifth album Tickets To My Downfall to critical acclaim last Friday, rapper-turned pop-punk revivalist Machine Gun Kelly has dropped an expanded edition of his LP with six new tracks.

Lauded by Billboard for its “dazzlingly effective songs,” the deluxe edition sees Kelly dive deeper into the pop-punk sound that’s influenced his music, even when he was operating in the hip-hop sphere.

Adding to the list of featured artists on the original release (Halsey, Blackbear, Trippie Redd, and Ian Dior), new track “body bag” features contributions from Yungblud and The Used’s Bert McCracken.

Heavily inspired by Fall Out Boy’s early 2000s classic “Dance, Dance,” MGK got the green light from Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump to release the track only a day before its arrival.

Kelly also covers another early aughts pop-punk favorite with his rendition of Paramore’s “Misery Business,” featuring Travis Barker, who also produced the entirety of Tickets To My Downfall.

Other new additions to the album “hangover cure,” “can’t look back,” and “split a pill” fit in seamlessly with the original 15 tracks. The deluxe edition concludes with an acoustic version of “bloody valentine,” one of Tickets To My Downfall’s lead singles.

To celebrate the arrival of Tickets To My Downfall (Sold Out Deluxe), Machine Gun Kelly also released a line of merch and a new video for his single “drunk face” that was directed by himself and collaborator Mod Sun. The video chronicles album release day, from catching flights to celebrating the project over dinner with MGK’s team.

Not willing to let the album festivities come to an end just yet, Machine Gun Kelly will be performing Tickets To My Downfall in its entirety with Travis Barker on October 1 in a special live-stream performance recorded at West Hollywood’s legendary venue The Roxy. Hoping to replicate the feeling of a real live show, the performance will be available for one night only. On October 8, he will be performing his 2019 album Hotel Diablo in the same manner.
