Lynyrd Skynyrd, Brothers Osborne For Second Born & Raised Festival
Other performers include Ray Wylie Hubbard, Zach Bryan, Cody Jinks, and Margo Price.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will be among the headliners at the second annual Born & Raised Music Festival in Oklahoma this September, where other performers include Brothers Osborne, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Margo Price.
The first Born & Raised weekend took place last September, having been announced the year before but postponed because of Covid restrictions. This year’s event will take place over the weekend of September 16-18, again at Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma. The other headliners are Zach Bryan and Cody Jinks.
“The reaction from fans in year one of Born & Raised was overwhelmingly reassuring that the festival we put together was a success,” says the festival’s producer Mike DuCharme of AEG Presents. “We couldn’t wait to get going on 2022 and get this year’s lineup out to the public. We hope people sing along with some of their favorite bands plus discover some new ones to add to their daily playlists.” The inaugural line-up featured ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke, Lucinda Williams, Parker McCollum, and many others.
Friday’s (16) line-up features Oklahoma native Bryan headlining a bill that also includes American Aquarium, Mike and the Moonpies, Jamie Lin Wilson, Joshua Ray Walker, and others. On Saturday, Jinks leads a line-up also starring Brothers Osborne, Price, Flatland Cavalry, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Natalie Hemby, and Hold My Beer & Watch This with Randy Rogers & Wade Bowen.
Skynyrd’s Sunday headliner is preceded by sets from the Josh Abbott Band, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Band of Heathens, and both Rogers and Bowen. Skynyrd’s appearance follows a busy schedule in the coming weeks, with shows booked during May and June. More details of their immediate schedule are at the website of the celebrated Southern rockers. Pre-sale tickets for Born & Raised are available from this Friday (May 6) and general sales begin on May 9.
