Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Killers, Sting Set To Headline KAABOO Texas
The multi-day festival at the Dallas Cowboys stadium will also feature Lauryn Hill, Counting Crows and more.
Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Killers, Sting and Kid Rock are heading the diverse line up for 2019’s multi-day KAABOO Texas Festival.
Running from 10-12 May, the fest at the AT&T stadium is a joint-venture with the family of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The Lone Star State event is the newest event for KAABOO, a festival and lifestyle brand than began in Southern California with KAABOO Del Mar starting in 2015 as a joint venture between Bryan Gordon and Virgin Produced, the film & TV arm of the Richard Branson-led Virgin Group.
The multi-stage event will take place both inside and outdoors of AT&T Stadium with a number of “bucket list” bands booked by talent buyer Roger LeBlanc including The Avett Brothers, Lauryn Hill, Counting Crows, Alanis Morrissette and more.
KAABOO’s Humor Me comedy stage is led by Saturday Night Live alum Dennis Miller, Everybody Loves Raymond’s Brad Garrett and stand-ups Demetri Martin and Garfunkel and Oates. BASK, KAABOO’s on-site Las Vegas-style pool club will feature sets by Chromeo, Le Youth and Paul Oakenfold.
KAABOO is the first major festival to be held at AT&T Stadium and the first time a “multi-day, nationally recognized, music and lifestyle event has ever collaborated with an NFL ownership group,” according to a release.
“Since we opened 10 years, we have always looked for ideas and ways to bring great events to the stadium,” Charlotte Jones Anderson, EVP and chief brand officer of the Dallas Cowboys and team owner Jones’ daughter told Billboard. AT&T Stadium has hosted the Super Bowl and huge concerts for artists such as Taylor Swift and George Strait.
“For us, it has always been how do we think outside the box and bring these kinds of events to the venue, knowing full well what we do best is play football, with partners that can align with our brand vision and bring a unique experience to fans that trust us and engage with us on a daily basis,” says Jones Anderson.
All KAABOO passes are now on sale with GA tickets starting at $299 and VIP packages priced between $999 and $4,199. Visit the event’s official website for tickets and further information.
