Bryan’s eighth studio album arrives nearly 17 years into the country star’s career, wherein he has won Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards five times. On August 21, he’ll also be honored with the ACM Lifting Lives Award, presented annually to someone who proves themselves to be “devoted to improving lives through the power of music, has a generosity of spirit, and is committed to serving others.”
Outside of accepting the ACM’s honor, Bryan will also spend the next few months playing shows on two different tours. His ongoing Mind of a Country Boy tour will stop in San Bernardino, Kansas City, Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Des Moines, and Chicago this month before concluding mid-September in Tampa. After that, he’ll head out on his annual Farm Tour, where he visits agricultural venues across the eastern United States. He’ll hit a few venues this year he’s never played before, including the Bow Creek Farm and Cattle Co in Granville, PA; Heritage Park in Chesapeake, VA; Cox Brothers Farms in Marshville, NC; and Cunningham Family Farm in Smithton, PA.
“I think this album, as I’ve tried to do with all my albums, just has a little bit of everything,” Bryan shares in a statement. “I do some things different vocally on this one that I’ve not done before. It’s about each song having its place and having its meaning…I think that’s why I’ve been blessed to have a long career and what I feel like this album’s going to do.”
