Little Big Town to Host 2019 CMT Music Awards In Nashville
This year’s event takes place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on 5 June.
Little Big Town will return to host the upcoming 2019 CMT Music Awards on 5 June. This marks the country quartet’s second consecutive year in this role.
In addition to serving as emcees for the evening, Little Big Town will also perform during the awards show. Additional performers are likely to be announced in the coming weeks, while Carly Pearce will reveal the nominees for the awards show on 7 May on NBC’s TODAY show with Hoda and Jenna. The annual awards show is scheduled to air live from Nashville’s prestigious Bridgestone Arena on 5 June at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.
Tickets to the fan-voted awards show will be available to the general public on 11 May at 11 a.m. ET. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the event’s official website.
Little Big Town are mainstays as awards show performers. The band recently took the stage at the 2019 ACM Awards where they sang their new single, ‘The Daughters.’ The song also serves as the lead track off their forthcoming ninth studio album. They also performed at the 2019 Grammy Awards earlier this year.
As uDiscover Music previously reported, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton were among the big winners at last year’s CMT Music Awards. LBT triumphed in the Group Video Of The Year category for ‘When Someone Stops Loving You’.
Last year’s CMTs also recognized some first-time winners. Dan + Shay won Duo Video of the Year for ‘Tequila,’ Carly Pearce scored her first trophy for ‘Every Little Thing’ in the Breakthrough Video of the Year category, and Kane Brown won Collaborative Video of the Year for ‘What Ifs.’ Brown shared the honor with his duet partner, the now two-time winner Lauren Alaina, who took home Breakthrough Video of the Year at the 2017 ceremony.
