While several spring and summer festivals have been canceled, amid uncertainties around the pandemic, a handful of late summer and fall events are being announced, as the vaccine rollout continues. These include London’s All Points East, Montreal’s Osheaga Festival, and Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
“We have always put the health, safety, and security of our community first,” said Life Is Beautiful’s Festival Director, Lauren DelFrago, in a statement. “As we prepare to produce the 2021 festival, we feel a heightened sense of responsibility to our staff, partners, performers, and attendees, and continue to work closely with local and state officials to ensure a safe return to live music.”
The festival, which launched in 2013, takes over Downtown Las Vegas, spanning 18 blocks of the city. The most recent edition of Life Is Beautiful, in 2019, marked the world’s second-highest-grossing festival, second only to San Francisco’s Outside Lands. Among the performers that year were Lil Wayne, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Lewis Capaldi, Chance the Rapper, Carly Rae Jepsen, Masego, Portugal. The Man, Toto, and the Black Keys.
