Listen To Lewis Capaldi’s Brand New Single, ‘Before You Go’
The new track is the star’s first new material since his much-heralded debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’ was released in May.
Lewis Capaldi’s brand new single ‘Before You Go’ is out now on Virgin EMI. You can check it out below.
The star announced the new song was on the way in a tweet, writing: “BEFORE YOU GO ~ my favourite song I’ve ever written and I’m not just saying that because I want you to listen to it honestly I’m not 🙃 available to stream wherever you are in the 🌎 from 5PM U.K. time tomorrow 🔥 x.”
‘Before You Go’ is Capaldi’s first new track since his much-heralded debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent was released through Virgin EMI in May 2019 and reached the top spot in the UK charts. The album was certified Gold one week after its release, making it the best-selling debut album from a British artist in more than eight years.
The Scottish singer-songwriter also took to Instagram to release a statement about the new song, calling it the “most personal” song he’s put out so far. He wrote, “The past year has been absolutely wild, didn’t in a million years think all of this stuff would happen to me.
“Less than two years ago, I was lucky enough to get to gig in small pubs and bars back home in Scotland and somehow am writing this with a Number 1 single in America and getting to play to and meet thousands of ya every night all over the world!”
“Today at 5pm UK time am releasing ‘Before You Go’, which is by far the most personal tune I’ve ever written. Can’t wait for ya to hear it!”
Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent includes the top 10 singles ‘Grace’ the UK and US number one single ‘Someone You Loved’ and ‘Hold Me While You Wait’, among several previously included on Capaldi’s early EPs. Capaldi is currently on a world tour in support of the record, which began in May 2019. Visit the artist’s official website for further information.
The repackaged edition of Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is out on 25 November and can be bought here.
